Access Statement for The Coach House Bed & Breakfast, Hope House Farm, Togston, Amble, Northumberland
Introduction
We aim to cater for the needs of all visitors in our home based one bedroom suite bed and breakfast. The following statement is a summary of our provision. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to call us and we will Endeavour to help.
Pre-Arrival

• We can provide you with a large print version of this access statement on request.
• Access statement available for your perusal on our website or in hard copy format, it is also on display in our entrance porch.
• Our website contains photographs of our bedroom suite, details of our breakfast menu, facilities and local attractions.
• The nearest bus stop is approx. ¼ of a mile from us and buses run regularly to Newcastle, Morpeth and Alnwick.
• The nearest train station is 15 minutes away by car in Alnmouth, by special arrangement we can pick guests up from either the bus stop or the train station.
• Warkworth village centre is 11/2 miles from us and amble is 1/2 mile away.
• The nearest shop is 20 mins walk away (3 mins by car), however bottled water and hot beverages are available to guests on arrival.
• There are a number of reliable taxis which service the area.
Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
• There is one designated parking space to the rear of the building and an extra space can be arranged on request.
• Assistance is offered with luggage etc from car park to main entrance.
• The car park itself is tarmac however the road to the front of the building is uneven and graveled, this road is the only access to the car park.
• There is a slate/stepping stone path from the car park to the main entrance.
• Our contact number is not displayed externally but it is on all our correspondence, website and key fob.
• The path from the car park to the main entrance is lit by ground level solar lights it is a slate/stepping stone path which leads onto a slate slab pathway up to front door. This is the only route to and from the car park.
Main Entrance, Reception & Ticketing Area
• There are no steps to main entrance, everything is on one level, the threshold into the entrance porch is 5mm high with the porch itself measuring 8ft x 5.5ft.
• Guests are escorted to rooms and facilities explained.
• There is a chair provided in the hallway.
• Additional keys are available on request.
• Main entrance has walk in guest cupboard for suitcase storage, muddy boots etc. there is also a small fridge containing bottled water for guest’s convenience.
• The floor and doors of the entrance porch are oak.

Public WCs
• The only toilet available to guests is located in the bedroom en-suite.
Restaurant / Dining Room, Bar & Bar area, Take Away & Cafe
• Breakfast is served in the bedroom suite, completed menus should be handed in before 9pm the previous night.
• The breakfast table seats 4 people, there is also a high chair for babies/toddlers available on request.
• The furniture is flexible and can be moved on request.
• We do not play background music in any area of the b&b.
• The B&B is non smoking throughout the premises.
Laundry
• We provide a laundry service for a small charge. There is also a launderette in Amble (3 mins away by car).
Shop
• The nearest shop is in Amble (3 mins drive away) however if there is anything you should need or have forgotten to bring then we will try to get it for you as soon as possible.
Bedrooms & Sleeping Areas
• There is a smoke detector outside bedroom door and a fire extinguisher in the bedroom, fire evacuation details are displayed on the inside of the bedroom door.
• Flat screen television with teletext and sub titles, there is a DVD player and sky TV.
• The bedroom floor is oak with rugs at the foot and both sides of the bed.
• The bed is an oak super king size four poster, there is also a double sofa bed and a travel cot available on request.
• Apart from the double sofa there is an additional armchair in the room.
• There is a large chandelier, separate halogen spot lights and two bedside lamps.
• There are tea and coffee making facilities including de-caff coffee, coffee, tea, herbal teas and hot chocolate.
• There is a small fridge for guest use in the guest cupboard in entrance porch.
• There is a torch and hairdryer located in bedroom.
• There is an iron and ironing board in guest cupboard.
Bathroom, Shower-room & WC [Ensuite or Shared]
• En-suite shower room, 6.5ft x 8ft.
• White toilet, basin and double shower, baby bath and changing mat available on request.
• The floor is tiled, door is oak, three spot light and mirror light with shaving socket.
• Complimentary toiletries.
• Chrome towel radiator rail to right of door.
Self-Catering Kitchen
• Tea/coffee making facilities are located in the bedroom and there is a fridge containing bottled water and fresh milk in guest cupboard.
Additional Information
• We have a non-smoking policy.
• Fridge available in guest cupboard in main entrance porch.
• There is mobile phone reception.
• Evacuation for guests is via the main entrance, which is directly outside bedroom door.
